Supermarkets get rid of free plastic bags Funny Time News

Supermarkets are no longer handing out free plastic bags and are instead selling different types of bags at the counter for carrying out items.  “It’s a law that bans plastic bags, regardless of thickness, at grocery stores and retail outlets, as well as paper bags at grocery stores measuring more than 2,500 square feet. It also bans polystyrene foam food service products; and makes plastic straws at restaurants available only upon request.”  According to New Providence.  Could supermarket’s be selling more bags than a bag store that’s solely in business to sell bags, like Gucci, Coach, Prada, and Louis Vuitton?  I don’t foresee the supermarkets putting the bag companies out of business.  It’s very interesting that the plastic bag went extinct right around the time there were shortages.  Doesn’t seem to be connected, but it’s a coincidence.
