Where did the scorpion and frog story come from? It’s a story about a talking frog who takes a talking scorpion on its back across a river. Just to get stung in the middle of the water. But earlier the scorpion told the afraid frog he wouldn’t sting him in the water because then they’d both drown. Okay, here’s the extended story version. Once the scorpion stung the frog, they both went under the water never to be heard from again. So, someone else near by saw what happened. Like a talking owl named Solomon that told the story to anybody who would listen by the river. Owls are really wise. And where else would they gain wisdom then to watch different wise events happening by a river.
