Supermarket Shoppers Are Rebelling By Taking Baskets Funny Time News

Supermarket customers are rebelling by either intentionally or unintentionally taking baskets.  “New Jersey supermarkets say shoppers are walking off with baskets and are loading up the store baskets and taking those home, instead.” NBC 4 New York.  Before supermarkets would give out free plastic bags, so they could carry their purchased items to their vehicle.  But those got banned.  What’s probably going through the shoppers head are why buy a bag when I can just carry the basket to the car.  “Some baskets run as much as $8.”  According to NBC 4 New York.  Maybe it’s more cost effective for the supermarket to give one free paper bag or two, so customers don’t walk off with their baskets.  Or the customers can leave a deposit for the basket and they get their money back when they return it.  Hey, on a brighter note, this basket problem beats the customers taking shopping carts.
