Script Comeback

Is script really done.  Schools in the US stopped teaching kids script, but now they are realizing that kids need to know how to sign there names.  And there are jobs out there that require someone to read  peoples signatures.  It's not all about print.  I know from talking with a teacher that there are schools that are secretly teaching script.  They are not announcing it, but still sine are teaching it.  How come they can't make an announcement.  Why is it such a skill that nobody wants kids to learn?  It really doesn't take long to teach a kid script.  They are like sponges when it comes to learning.  Since they haven't been teaching script, what have they put in it's place.  This teaching of script or not teaching it is kinda like is Pluto a planet or not.  We can't always make up our minds.  Some day we will figure it out.
