Lot's of parent's are saying to their children to stop playing the video games and do their homework. If video gaming becomes a common type of job, the child's reply could be, I am doing my homework. When someone asks a child what their favorite subject is in school, just imagine if he or she said it's my video gaming class. And when asked what did you do in school today and the child could say, oh I played a bunch of video games. There's a lot that would change if video gaming could be a popular career path. Instead of parents telling their children to get off the video games and hit the books, they would tell them to play more of the video games. I bet if they had courses on playing video games, nobody would ever miss a class. Being late to the video game class wouldn't happen either. And kids who don't want to go to college, will want to go. A class with perfect attendance would be something great to see.
It's yet to be seen if a Professional Gamer is going to become mainstream where you can make a nice salary and have benefits like Health Insurance, a 401K package, and a gold watch when you retire. For those that already went to college, you might want to go back to college to get a degree in being a PG or MPG if it becomes available. As technology improves and is more affordable, it makes things possible. Holograms could be the tipping point or this article. For now we will have to wait and see what or if the gaming industry will become something else than it has already become. Will there one day be a company with many employees that only play video games from 9 to 5? I am on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens. You probably are too. I just hope I don't fall off of my seat.
